A bronze plaque vase gives family a proper place to leave flowers at a grave, without loose pots on the lawn. We offer two designs, the round Uralla and the oval Armidale. Either can be set into a larger bronze plaque or stand on its own in a ring beside it. You design the plaque online in Canadian dollars, approve a free proof, and we ship across Canada.

The Uralla vase

The Uralla is a round vase about 9 7/8 in high and 4 in across (250 x 100 mm), plain or with a sculptured rose. It fits inside a plaque of 24 x 12 in (609 x 305 mm) or larger, or stands alone in a ring about 7 7/8 in (200 mm) across. Both options come with the full vase assembly.

The Armidale vase

Oval Armidale bronze vase set in a rock edge ring

The Armidale is oval, about 7 7/8 in high, 7 in long and 3 in wide (200 x 178 x 75 mm). It suits plaques of 24 x 14 in (609 x 356 mm) and 24 x 18 in (609 x 457 mm), or stands alone in a ring about 11 x 7 in (280 x 178 mm), with a complete assembly either way.

How a vase sits in a bronze plaque

Set into a larger plaque, the vase sits in its own opening in the bronze, so flowers stand in the middle of the memorial. A stand alone vase sits in its own ring beside the plaque instead, which suits a smaller plaque or a marker already in place.

Three stand alone bronze vase rings: inscription ring, rock edge ring and plain ring

Three stand alone rings fit both vases:

  • An inscription ring, which carries lettering.
  • A rock edge ring, with a natural rock look that suits a garden bed.
  • A plain ring, for a simple finish.

Drainage and winter care in Canada

Water left in a vase freezes, and ice expands. Before the first hard frost, empty the vase and ask the cemetery office how it prefers vases to be left over winter. If a ring sits where meltwater pools, ask about setting it on a little gravel so water drains away. In spring, rinse out any grit before the first flowers go in.

Cremation vases and built in designs

Small bronze cremation vases for wall mounting or garden placement

For a niche wall or memorial garden, we offer smaller cremation vases for wall mounting or garden placement, most sized for a bud or a few small flowers.

Bronze plaque designs with a built in vase for fresh, silk or dried flowers

Some plaque designs have a built in vase for fresh, silk or dried flowers. Where that does not suit, the vase can be supplied separately to sit beside the plaque.

Questions about bronze plaque vases

Which vase fits my plaque?

The Uralla fits plaques of 24 x 12 in (609 x 305 mm) and larger, the Armidale 24 x 14 in and 24 x 18 in. For a smaller plaque, use either vase in a ring.

Can I add a vase to a marker already on the grave?

Yes, with a stand alone vase and ring. The cemetery may need to approve its position.

Should the vase stay out over winter?

Empty it before the ground freezes, and follow the cemetery’s advice on winter storage.
